Humboldt, Hornung

Hello.

It's been so long since my last appearance... Updates are due, sure, but I'd rather not write much. How about a couple of drawings?
This one was done last weekend, in a curious little place called "Finnish Country Sauna and Tubs" located in a curious little town called Arcata, up in foggy Humboldt County.

This second one is of a building I really like, here in the Mission. I drew it today during SketchCrawl.
Enjoy! And so long for now.

holy CRAP these are awesome.
I love the way you decided to ...cut or stop the linework in the first one. Barely noticeable but I've been trying to pay attention to that sort of thing...
I'm rambling. Awesome stuff.

in the Arcata one it seems as though you've stepped through a rift in time.

Wow. Amazing, energetic drawings. So loose and sketchy, but clear at the same time.

These are great Daniela!

You're so good at perspective without busting out a ruler. I can't stand drawing buildings (unless there are giant skulls or cannons on them or something), but you capture so much personality.

I hope you like silly blog games, Dani, because you've officially been tagged! See my blog for details.

love your sketches. there's a sense of ease that only comes with years of practice combined with talent.

Thank you so much everyone! I'm blogging from various Montreal cafes these days, so I feel a little rushed and I apologize for not answering to you individually!
But again, thanks for the kind words!

Austin, I don't know, I've never played a silly blog game before... Sounds fun!!!
I'm preparing a little something in response!
