Škoda

This used to be our car back in the 80s, and is now part of a little project I'm working on.

Yes!!! In addition to amazing Gouache paintings, Daniela is now apparently also restoring vintage Czech compact sedans! Cool Beans!

Very beautiful car sketch Daniela. Have you ever saw any of those around SF? I miss drawing European cars here.

Thanks Matt, that's funny! I wish...

Thanks Stef! You're the best at drawing loose, appealing vehicles.
I love the size and proportion of many European cars, especially older 60s-70s models. But in California there are some beautifully restored autos too, don't you find?

Thanks a lot, Victoria!

Thanks for your kind words Daniela.:)
Yes I really enjoy sketching vintage cars here, I was in heaven when I moved here last year, all those cars around me that I only saw in American TV series as a kid in France, all sorts of vehicles are amazing to me, especially fire trucks, police cars...scrappers.
Your last post is absolutely gorgeous!

Skoda! I dunno , this sketch just makes me want to say that. JvB already beat me to the post on the church, which I love, so I get to comment on this one. Nice, nice.

Cheers, Daniela,

Arna

Stef, I moved to California a year ago, and the cars made a big impression on me as well. The good part in SF is that just when you begin to miss Europe, a beautiful Citroën will pop around the corner, or an Alfa Romeo will roar by as you eat your gelato!

Thank you Steven, glad you enjoyed this. I just discovered your Lego blog among other things - my favourite toys ever!!!

Thanks Federico, I'm guessing you've seen one of these around at some point, though they must be rare by now...

Hi Arna! I know, Škoda... isn't it fun? Thanks for your visit, as always!

Great stuff...

Somehow you have given your old car dignity, a life of it's own and character. To me it comes across more as part of the family.
